PacketViper from Viper Network Systems
Gynn Technologies president, Dan Gynn, is the co-founder of the newest product from Viper Network Systems. PacketViper® is a "Point and Click Country Network Filter ™" appliance which allows customers to block any country's network with a few clicks. PacketViper is easy to install and simple to manage.
PacketViper is a transparent in-line global IP management, analysis, and filtering appliance which reduces the network attack space by blocking high-risk IP addresses from foreign countries.
It allows you to make immediate operational, short and long-term strategic decisions more effectively. VMware
We've partnered with the industry leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, VMware, to help provide service to a commercial HVAC provider in the Pittsburgh area. By implementing VMware, we managed to get more performance, control, and security from their servers while actually requiring less physical hardware. This has also increased their stability by providing a way to move virtual machines from old failing hardware to new locations. Also, it has increased their flexibility by enabling rapid provision of new virtual machines.
Joomla Magazine Subscription
Nowadays, magazine subscriptions are becoming less and less relevant. With almost 50% of the US population getting their news from online sources, magazines are being forced to implement online systems to get content to their customers. Gynn Technologies is currently converting a magazine website to enable online subscription features using Joomla.
This system has online content limited to subscribed customers only. One major advantage of this is the ability to allow both free and exlusive content. Free content will be accessible to any viewer, but exclusive content will be restricted to paying subscribers only. These types of paid subscriptions are an important part of successful online marketing and a helpful tool to many online businesses.
GOFASTPASS
Gynn Technologies president, Dan Gynn, helped Grant Oliver Corporation create GOFASTPASS, a system to monitor and manage parking at the Pittsburgh International Airport. The technology uses embedded systems, Java, C++ and RFID tags to track entry and exit of customer vehicles automatically.
The RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) registers the users car upon entry to the parking facility. The time of entry is recorded and upon exiting the parking facility, the time parked is automatically calculated and charged to the customer's registered credit card. Rather than waiting in lines to park and having to pay each time you make a trip to the airport, GOFASTPASS makes the trip to the airport easier and faster.
